I have been using this dry fly for many years now, since 2008 when it was given to me by a Czech competitor. I have used this dry fly all over the world. It's a simple and bizarre fly, but fish like it a lot.

When greased it floats very well, and is easy to see.

Both trout and grayling like it, and in summer it is also excellent as an imitation of terrestrial for chub

Excellent both as a hunting fly and for use in drop (tandem) with a small nymph

Also effective in stillwater fishing.
